Partnering with CANOPY, we are excited to extend a warm invitation to our valued members and the wider community to come together and kick off 2024 with an engaging discussion.

This event is open to women of all ages, backgrounds, and professions. Whether you’re an established leader, an emerging talent, or simply someone who believes in the power of women supporting women, this event is for you.

Kathy believes we must bring “soft skills” like trust, warmth, approachability, and humor - yes, it’s EQ - into our everyday lives and at work. Emotional intelligence is everything, and attendees will walk away inspired, laughing, and learning ways to embrace their warmth, human-ness, imperfection and, you got it, humor! Kathy Klotz-Guest, MA, MBA and Melissa Dinwiddle will lead a discussion on this topic.

About Kathy Klotz-Guest

Author, trained improviser, comedian, and former tech exec (17 yrs), today Kathy is a Speaker, Facilitator, and Founder of Keeping it Human℠. She changes how senior tech leaders connect, communicate, and cultivate culture - so people and productivity thrive. Her book, “Stop Boring Me” was named a “CEO must-read” by Inc.com. Called ‘the Mrs. Maisel of leadership,’ she is on a mission to redefine humor; it’s not being funny. It’s celebrating humanity, lowering fear of failure and creating trust, safety and EQ that changes teams and careers.

About Melissa Dinwiddie

A former professional artist and trained improviser and jazz singer, Melissa Dinwiddie helps senior tech leaders increase their influence and reduce conflict by helping their teams communicate and connect better so their work has impact across the organization, all through her F.U.N. Method™. She designs interactive, playful programs that attendees rave about because they acquire new skills and behaviors and build connections while having a blast. Her book, The Creative Sandbox Way™, has been called "essential for the bookshelf," "the owner's guide for the caring and feeding of the creative spirit," and (by NYT author Chris Guillebeau) "an adventure packaged as a book."
